  1. Registration Information
    • Registration information will be sent by email at least seven days prior to the event. Registrants not receiving the registration information should contact us by email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
  2. Payments
    • All registrations must be paid by credit card in full at the time of registration. Exceptions to this are the CSU Campuses and CSU Chancellor’s Office, who will be billed by Interagency Financial Transaction (IFT) once the event is concluded. When payment has been received, an email confirmation and a receipted invoice will be sent.
  3. Recruiter Fair
    • Capacity at the recruiter fair is limited. Should the recruiter fair reach maximum capacity, the registration process for the Forum will be closed immediately and all subsequent requests for registration will be returned.
    • When the recruiter fair is scheduled in an outdoor location, the recruiter tables will be protected by canvas tents, awnings, or umbrellas against the effects of sun or rain. Such recruiter fairs will be held rain or shine. No refunds or credits will be granted as a result of heat, cold, or inclement weather.
  4. Substitutions & Cancellations
    • Substitution or transfer of registration is allowed within the same institution. If a recruiting institution cannot be present at the California Forum for Diversity in Graduate Education, they should cancel their registration as soon as possible. A cancellation fee may apply. If you register for the California Forum for Diversity in Graduate Education and then do not attend without canceling your registration, the registration fee will not be refunded.
      • Cancellations received on or before September 1, 2024 will receive a full refund, minus the 2.5% processing fee.
      • Cancellations received between September 2, 2024 and September 20, 2024 will receive a 50% refund, minus the 2.5% processing fee.
      • Cancellations received between September 21, 2024 and October 4, 2024 will receive a 25% refund, minus the 2.5% processing fee.
      • Cancellations received on or after October 5, 2024 are not eligible for a refund.
  5. Alterations to Program
    • The California Forum for Diversity in Graduate Education Planning Committee reserves the right to make alterations to the conference venue, timings, speakers, and program. In the unlikely event of the program being cancelled, a full refund will be made. Liability will be limited to the amount of the fee paid by the registrant.
  6. Speakers
    • Views expressed by speakers are their own. The California Forum for Diversity in Graduate Education Planning Committee cannot accept liability for advice given or views expressed by any speaker at the conference or in any material provided to attendees.
  7. Photography & Filming
    • For promotional purposes, there may be professional photography and video production taking place during the conference. By registering for the event, attendees consent to their image and likeness being used in marketing and films without any payment to them. However, due to the size and nature of the event, the California Forum for Diversity in Graduate Education Planning Committee cannot guarantee that an attendee’s image won’t unintentionally be captured.

    • By submitting registration details, registrants agree to allow the California Forum for Diversity in Graduate Education Planning Committee and organizations associated with the conference to contact them. The contact details of registrants will be placed on the recruiting institution list which will be passed to student attendees for the purpose of networking and gathering information about graduate opportunities. Registrants who do not wish to be included on this list should advise prior to the event.

    • The conference websites may link to other websites and networking tools provided for the convenience of the users. The contents of these websites are maintained by their owners, for which the California Forum for Diversity in Graduate Education Planning Committee takes no responsibility. Neither can responsibility be taken for contents of any website linking to this website.
  10. Insurance
    • It is the responsibility of the registrant to arrange appropriate insurance coverage in connection with their attendance at the conference. The California Forum for Diversity in Graduate Education Planning Committee cannot be held liable for any loss, liability, or damage to personal property.
  11. Speakers Terms & Conditions
    • The California Forum for Diversity in Graduate Education Planning Committee may use the speaker’s name and presentation materials for promoting attendance at the conference. Presentations and papers including all associated artwork and illustrations will not be returned unless specifically requested by the author. The papers should be objective and completely free of advertising and commercialism.
    • The California Forum for Diversity in Graduate Education Planning Committee may audio and/or video tape the speaker’s session and the recording may be reproduced as part of the overall conference materials. This allows attendees to view presentations that they may have been unable to attend.
    • The California Forum for Diversity in Graduate Education Planning Committee may reproduce copies of the speaker’s presentation (eg. PowerPoint slides or supporting handouts) on paper and/or electronically as part of the overall hand-out materials during the conference and after the event. Any acknowledgement regarding Copyright or support should be included at the end of the abstract/presentation, as these will be distributed to the conference attendees.
